Sodalime Glass Studio is a production glassblowing business consisting of products designed and made by local Canberra artist Jacqueline Knight. Based in Canberra, Jacqueline creates modern, hand-made glass tableware and lighting for the discerning market. Sodalime Studio specialises in small-run, limited edition pieces designed with a bright aesthetic and an ease of functionality.
Jacqueline has worked in the creative glass industry for over 20 years. She has a Masters in Glass from Alfred University, NY, undergrad from the A.N.U. and a Design-Associateship from the JamFactory in Adelaide. After 10 years working and teaching in the US at various schools and Universities including MassArt (The Massachusetts College of Art and Design) in Boston USA, Salem State University and the Pittsburgh Glass Centre. Jacqueline has since moved back to her home town Canberra where she is Manager of Production and Commissions at the Canberra Glassworks. Here she works with a dynamic of artists, glassblowers and master craftspeople.
Most recently Jacqueline was appointed Director on the Board of Ausglass Ltd. (The Australian Association of Glass Artists - NFP organisation). She currently lives and works in the Canberra region.
